    Vision That Indigenous Nationalities and Peoples of the Amazon have a good quality of life that is in balance with the tropical rainforests and their natural and cultural resources. Mission To promote income generating activities through sustainable management of tropical rainforests, natural and cultural resources of the Amazon region to obtain a better quality of life now as well as for future generations of indigenous peoples and nationalities in the region.

    About Us

    FUNDECOIPA was founded in December 2005 by the villagers of Arútam. We are an indigenous non-profit organization with our head-office in the Shuar community Arútam in the PastazaprovinceofEcuador.

    FUNDECOIPA was founded as a response to the social and economical difficulties faced by our members and neighboring communities. The objective of FUNDECOIPA is to create community development in the indigenous communities of Pastaza through culturally founded project and sustainable use of the biological resources.

    The foundation manages a2100 acrereserve and provides tourism, volunteer and research opportunities within the reserve and Shuar communities.
