About Us
The mission of the Newark Pride Committee is to sponsor and produce a week of educational, recreational, cultural, arts and entertainment-oriented programming for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community in collaboration with community stakeholders including non-profits, the City of Newark and local businesses. Newark Pride events help galvanize the community and increase the visibility of Newark's safe spaces for the LGBTQ community. Our events draw over 3,000 people annually with increasing numbers each year.
