About Us

Golden Gate Restaurant Association (GGRA) was founded in 1936 to serve as a united voice for the San Francisco Bay Area restaurant industry. As a non-profit trade association, GGRA works to serve our members by providing them with tools, trainings and resources to help operate their business and realize savings on operating costs, advocating on public policy issues that impact them, and providing a vehicle to showcase their talent through our signature event, Eat Drink SF and other related events and marketing. Additionally, GGRA offers access to a vast network through online tools as well as through membership events and forums. GGRA also focuses on education and inspiring the next generation of chefs and students eager to enter the food and hospitality industry. The Golden Gate Restaurant Association Scholarship Foundation was established in 1968 as a way to encourage students, through financial assistance, as they complete school to pursue a career in the food service industry.
