    The Chilean-American Foundation is a non-profit, non-political organization entirely run by volunteers, established in Washington, DC in 1990. Its mission is to improve the lives of children who are at social risk in Chile by financing small projects in the poorest neighborhoods in community centers or at the children's schools. The programs, run by community non-governmental organizations, provide meals, health services, or activities that help children develop their full potential by exploring talents, increasing self-esteem, and learning to cope with life's challenges. The Foundation's membership comprises of Chilean people and friends from all nationalities who live in the U.S.A. and in Chile.
