    Our mission is to create a community of and for young adults within the Autism spectrum. A community where friendships and supports will be forged as our young adults begin their journey into independent living. A community with friendships and supports that will continue to be available to our young adults, long into their adult lives.

    About Us

    Shire House was founded in San Jose, California, in July 2012 and provided services in San Jose through March 2021. Shire House relocated to San Antonio, Texas, in April 2021.

    Shire House offers and manages Shared Housing Programs, and Community Activities for adults within the Asperger, HFA, and Neurodiverse community.

    Our programs and community activities are specifically for HFA (formerly known as Aspergers) and Neurodiverse adults aged 18 and over.
