  • About Us

Turning Heads' mission is to provide vocational arts education, entrepreneurship training, and develop young women leaders in San Francisco. Our Sewing and Fashion Design Program is for San Francisco’s low-income young women of color, ages 14-21. We challenge race, class and gender stereotypes by believing that young women of color can work together and create a future that is personally, socially, academically and financially successful. Turning Heads Sewing and Fashion Design gives young women the opportunity to express their creativity, develop a sense of self-reliance, and follow their dreams.

Turning Heads is a small organization fiscally sponsored by the Women's Foundation of California.
