About Us
FoodCycle works in the local community, mobilising young people to start food projects that cook surplus foods from markets and supermarkets into healthy meals for at risk populations. FoodCycle tackles issues of youth engagement, food poverty, and malnutrition. It brings together people to create sustainable food systems. FoodCycle tackles real problems with practical solutions in a creative, fun and self-empowering way. The idea is simple but the effects are great and far reaching. Cited by Unltd as the charity with the most potential in the coming year, and winner of the Charity Times 2010 Best New Charity Award, we are a young and dynamic charity looking for assistance in rapidly expanding capacity in the London area and across the UK. We started with 2 projects in May 2009, and now we have 13 in the UK! Come on this amazing journey with us!
