The Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foundation was established to honor Kelli, a joyful, kind-hearted 14-year-old whose life was tragically taken in 2011. In her memory, the Foundation empowers youth to grow as compassionate leaders, confident individuals, and lifelong learners.
Our mission is carried out through three core programs:
Scholarships - Since inception, we’ve awarded 112 scholarships totaling over $883,000 to students who reflect Kelli’s values and need support to achieve their educational goals. In 2025 alone, six scholarships totaling $56,000 were awarded.
Camp Tecumseh - Kelli spent six joyful summers at Camp T. In her honor, we built and dedicated a cabin in 2020 and continue to provide camperships to children who might not otherwise have the opportunity. This year, four kids attended thanks to our support.
Holiday Giving at Maryville Academy - Inspired by Kelli and her mother’s tradition of giving, our 2024 campaign provided 600+ gifts to 95 children, plus backpacks and art supplies for Maryville’s youth. It’s one of our most beloved programs.
Volunteers are the heart of our mission. Join us in spreading joy, supporting youth, and honoring Kelli’s legacy through acts of kindness and compassion.
