  • Mission

The Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance promotes conservation on the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant lands through prairie restoration, education, recreation and research.

    About Us

We're celebrating 25 years of envisioning a green future for the Badger Lands!

The former Badger Army Ammunition Plant north of Prairie du Sac, WI, has been decommissioned and transferred to four landowners: the Wisconsin DNR, the Ho-Chunk Nation, Dairy Forage Research Center, and the Bluffview Sanitation District. The DNR portion is open to the public for various recreation activities.

The property also features the Museum of Badger Army Ammunition and the Great Sauk State Trail, a popular bike path.
