About Us

Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit organization committed to providing positive and stimulating educational and performance opportunities for young musicians. With six orchestras and three instrumental ensembles, we provide enriching experiences for students ages six to 19. BYSO is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in its 2014-2015 season.

We offer two string orchestras and four full orchestras, open to students from 6 to 20. In addition, we offer a percussion ensemble, a flute choir, and a flute orchestra. All members perform in at least four public concerts a year. Summer programs include 3 weeks of summer orchestra camp and a major performance at the Bellevue Family 4th to accompany the fireworks.

Funding is provided by tuition, ticket sales, and donations. Scholarships are provided to students who require tuition assistance.
