RE-volv (pronounced “revolve”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers anyone in the world to take direct action against climate change by supporting solar energy projects. RE-volv uses crowdfunded donations to finance solar energy systems for nonprofit organizations and worker-owned cooperatives across the United States, saving them money on electricity, reducing their carbon footprint, and educating their community about the benefits of solar energy.
Since its founding, RE-volv has fully financed six projects totaling 105
kilowatts of installed solar capacity; it has crowdfunded over $200,000 from
over 1,000 people living in 38 states and 22 countries. RE-volv is a winner of
the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2015 SunShot Catalyst Business Innovation Award
and Open IDEO’s 2016 Climate Innovation Fellowship. RE-volv is a proud member of the White House National Community Solar Partnership.
