    ABOUT US: New Start Foundation, Inc (NSF) is a non-profit organization which assists juveniles and adults recently released from incarceration with transitioning back into the community and reuniting with their family. NSF strongly believes successful family reunification leads to successful community reentry. NSF programs & services are designed to break the multi-generational cycle of incarceration and change the negative way the ex-offender view themselves; the way they are viewed by their family and the way they are viewed by the community. NSF is committed to meeting the Employment, Educational, Social and Developmental Needs of all participants in our program. We focus on a strength based model to inspire individuals' personal leadership and resiliency aptitude: THE THREE PHASES OF NSF PHASE 1 - REDIRECT & PREPARE- Services provides in this phase will include risk assessment, developing a personal, educational and future career plan, mentor ship, motivation & self esteem building, family support services. PHASE 2- INTERCEPT & RESTORE- Community Based Transitional Effort- This phase will work with (1) Offender prior to and immediate after following their release from correctional/juvenile facility. (2) Individuals in recovery institutions and (3) Individuals on public assistance. (4) Female Veterans. Services will be geared to education resources, monitoring, mentoring, effective life skills training, assessments, job readiness, retention and development, mental & behavioral health, substance abuse, relapse and counseling. PHASE 3- SUSTAIN & SUPPORT- After care program providing on-going services and mentoring relationships up to two (2) years following clients exit from program.
