Knowledge Committee of Serbia

Knowledge committee of Serbia (KCS) is an independent, non-political, non-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO), established 10.10.'10. in Belgrade, Serbia.

KCS gathers the academic population of Serbian citizens, those who are already acquainted with the prominent World Heritage Knowledge in 10 selected scientific fields, with a view to develop and promote a new, modern and European-oriented society - "Knowledge Society".

Knowledge committee of Serbia as a leading institution of a modern, innovative and ready to change society in Serbia, is a dedicated incorporation of excellence in the work of individuals, organizations and businesses in general, and providing the capability of our society that is an integral part of European and global knowledge society and the arts.

MISSION

Creating the conditions for selection, development and application of advanced knowledge, skills and art through the coordinated effects in scientific, cultural and economic organizations and institutions in the country and abroad, and by engaging its members in research projects financed by domestic, European and global funds.

The incorporation of excellence in the activities of the society and economy serves to satisfy the knowledge challenges of the 21st century and increase competitive advantage, promote the power of knowledge, skills and arts and ways of their implementation, developing and promoting leadership among young people.

PROGRAM GOALS

Recognizing the knowledge and continuing lifelong education as the driving force in the 21st century, we realize that it is high time to create a second wave of construction of modern institutions of a new era in education which will govern the different types, type maximum of promoting and exploiting the intellectual potential of young people aimed to strengthen themselves as individuals and to strengthen their contribution to Serbian creation of an information society.

This task, its control, improvement and achievement of our program goals, in particular:

- Select, gather, encourage and assist the most outstanding young prominent Serbian academics in fields of science, technology and art in order to demonstrate, improve and maintain their talent, their knowledge and their skills and willingness to further develop their own continuous improvement in its field.

- Identify, promote and assist in the preparation, publication and presentation of professional and scientific research and the artistic output of KCS members within the within the wider circles of Serbian and European research and cultural production.

- Engage the knowledge and skills of KCS members to help confront the practical problems of our society and economy via scientific research and commercial/cultural projects that meet the needs of Serbia and the world.

- Reach out to and cooperate with similar institutions worldwide in order to gather and exchange information, experience, and working methods.

- Develop the "road map" for a reform of the knowledge that focuses on increasing access knowledge, fundamentally improving the education system, reshaping the research, development and innovative structures, and use applied knowledge to generate better and cheaper products and services. "Road map" will enable a revolution of knowledge in the capacity building and generation of quality that will enable our country for a full future advantage of its most important resource – the people.

- Integrate Serbian science and art with larger trends in Europe and the world.
