  • Mission

    Studio Samuel creates pathways for girls in Ethiopia to reach their potential through education + employable skills.

    About Us

    Studio Samuel opened its doors in 2015 to the first class of 25 girls. Today, we've reached over 6,000 girls through extension programs in the rural areas.

    When girls are denied education in our community, they face child marriage, child labor, and trafficking. Studio Samuel addresses this head-on through its life-skills program, Training for Tomorrow, to introduce a teach a woman to fish model for safe-options in their future.

    Through its flagship impact program Training for Tomorrow, Studio Samuel prepares adolescent girls living in poverty with critical skills. The program is held after school and on weekends at Studio Samuel’s Training Center and includes occupational training, counseling, mentoring, computer programming, karate classes and access to healthcare. Students range in age from 9-18.

    Two additional programs stemming from the success of Training for Tomorrow and now under the Studio Samuel umbrella:

    * Institute of Design + Technology, vocational college (18-24yo)

    * MicroLending for Women (24+yo)
