VAE Raleigh

VAE is celebrating 41 years of service to our community in 2021. Each year, the organization produces over 80 exhibitions and community programs and provides over $200,000+ in funding for artists. Our staff is the driving force of the organization. Most people who work at VAE do so because it allows them to scale their artistic and community-driven ideas using its resources. Over the past four decades, VAE has stayed true to its mission but readily shifts its work to align with our staff’s interests and skills and our community’s needs. VAE’s staff work as an adaptable ensemble team structure where each team member takes the lead on the programs and projects they are most excited about.

VISION: VAE envisions a more equitable creative community where everyone has the resources needed to thrive.

MISSION: VAE produces, funds, and exhibits socially-engaged art through community collaboration.
