Jewish music encompasses much more than a wedding band version of Hava Nagilah, traditional klezmer and religious music. Jewish musicians may be fiddlers on shtetl roofs but they are also avant-garde composers, Israeli rap artists, and European DJs. The Boston Jewish Music Festival is dedicated to presenting innovative programs that demonstrate the many ways Jewish experiences, beliefs, and values are expressed through music. BJMF strives to reach the broadest possible audience through a diverse set of programs: concerts, workshops, lectures and other educational presentations across the Greater Boston area.
