The Arc Davidson County and Greater Nashville is a family-based organization. Our mission is to promote, protect, and advocate for the rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live self-determined, meaningful lives in inclusive communities. We represent more than five thousand children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Davidson and 20 surrounding counties.

    About Us

The Arc advocates for the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in several arenas including policy, employment, individual and family support.

Over 1,500 individuals are enrolled in our service and support programs. There are no fees charged to families for the services provided by The Arc.

    Tennessee Family Support

The Family Support Program manages a state-funded grant that provides financial assistance for individuals and families of individuals who have a severe, permanent disability and are residents of Davidson County and Wilson County.

    Indepedent Support Coordination

The Arc Davidson County and Greater Nashville advocates for the rights of individuals in the Medicaid Waiver program through a contract with Tennessee’s Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
