Contact Helpline GTR
Contact helpline's mission is to provide both telephone crisis intervention and to be an initial point of contact to the entire range of available community resources. Carefully trained volunteers assist callers through personal crisis and difficulty. Contact Helpline is also commited to providing daily calls to the elderly or disabled who live alone in an effort to assist them in continuing to live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible through our Reassurance program. Contact Helpline has also recently added a new program called the iListen Campaign which seeks to target the population of youth and educate them on suicide prevention, the availability of our crisis intervention line if they should need it, and to help promote volunteerism among the community.
