Skyland Workforce Center

About Us

Skyland Workforce Center (SWC) engages individuals, business, government, and community-based organizations to provide a continuum of holistic, high-quality workforce development programs in one location, leading to work-ready employee candidates, job placement, economic self-sufficiency, and improved quality of life.

Many job seekers face multiple challenges related to literacy, computer skills, work readiness, transportation, housing, and other barriers to employment. Skyland Workforce Center provides high-quality workforce development programs in one location, leading to work-ready employee candidates, career-focused job placement, economic self-sufficiency, and improved quality of life.

Five nonprofit partners offer employment programs and services at the Center: Byte Back, Calvary Women's Services, Life Asset, Samaritan Ministry, and Southeast Ministry. Our partners benefit from each other's specific expertise, leveraging the strengths and resources of each organization for greater collective impact.

Skyland Workforce Center is a project of Building Bridges Across the River, a ward 8 nonprofit.
