About Us
Purple Elephant Computer Factory for Kids catches computers before they hit the landfill, refreshes and reburbishes them, and helps them land in the hands of kids in need. Our tiny staff is made of good people (some of whom have hit some bumps in the road and and are working to get back on their feet), and lots of volunteers from all walks of life and areas of expertise. Like the old story of 7 blind men touching an elephant and each describing it differently, there are many sides to what we do. But, the BIG IMPORTANT part is that we get computers into kids' hands for low or no cost!
