  • About Us

The Pi Foundation (www.pibags.org) is a dynamic non-profit organization which promotes and sells re-usable, eco-friendly bags that are produced by marginalized women in Chennai, India. This program stemmed from a collaborative with Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and the Chennai-based non-profit, YRG Care, which originated in the fall of 2008. The Pi Project offers marginalized women in Chennai with HIV prevention education and intensive tailoring training to provide them with alternative, licit income to support themselves and their children.
