About Us
Avoidant Personality Disorder Research & Teaching Center is part of Needs Met, which is a 501c3 non-profit. Avoidant Personality, or Avpd for short, is a little known Mental Condition that includes Major Depression, Severe Social Anxiety, Fear or people, Fear of Authority, and many other phobias.
Our Mission is;
- Bring awareness to Avpd
- Research Avpd
- Teach those with Avpd how to cope with their condition and help them find the path to healing
- Teach Normals how to deal with their Avpd partners, and have successful relationships
- Raising Funds so we can accomplish the above goals
To accomplish this by:
- Awareness - Holding rallies, contacting and coordinating with mental health organizations and other
- Research - Contacting as many Avoidants as possible and gathering information about this condition, about their lives and their symptoms.
- Teaching Avoidants - Completing the book that is being written, developing workbooks, then developing on line classes
- Teaching Normals - Completing the book that is being written, developing workbooks, then developing on line classes
- Raising Funds - We are searching for grant opportunities, crowd funding, donations, and other ways to raise funding
