Walk It Out!
The purpose of Walk It Out! is to create enhanced access to neighborhood spaces for physical activity combined with informational outreach activities to promote health and disease prevention among Harlem's senior citizens. Goals of Walk It Out! include: 1) Creating safe walking paths in the Harlem community 2) Establishing semi-annual/quarterly community walks/runs and weekly Walking Clubs for seniors 3) Providing classes and lectures on topics in health 4) Establishing collaborations with community organizations and health and fitness organizations with similar interests
