YEAH! - Youth Engagement Advocacy Housing

Berkeley, CA | www.yeah-berkeley.org

About Us

YEAH!'s mission is to support transitional age (18-25) youth who are homeless as they move into young adulthood. To achieve this mission we provide them with comprehensive services including: shelter, basic needs, case management, counseling, educational and employment linkages, longer-term housing assistance, and opportunities for meaningful community involvement. The YEAH! vision is that all who wish to can participate in a supportive community that is a model of youth development principles in action.

The YEAH! community (composed of staff, board, volunteers, and youth) will continue to meet the basic needs of youth who are homeless and help them acquire the educational, vocational and self-management skills essential for moving them toward greater self-sufficiency and higher functioning. YEAH! further envisions that the city of Berkeley itself will become the "campus" for these youth--with Berkeley citizens providing the opportunities for them to build skills and relationships in the greater community.
