  • About Us

    California Youth Energy Services (CYES) is a program of Rising Sun Energy Center, a non-profit organization established in 1994. We provide FREE energy conservation services to communities throughout the Bay Area. The program is designed to provide high school and college students with hands-on job training and a paid employment experience in the growing green industry. We are currently accepting applications for the position of Energy Specialist in our Bay Area sites. Energy Specialists will receive extensive training in job skills; no prior experience with energy conservation work is necessary. We are looking to hire for the following sites: Oakland, Livermore, Fremont, Richmond, Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, Union City, Hayward, San Leandro, Pleasanton, and Marin County.
