About Us
The Connecticut Alliance for Better Communities, Inc. was created for the charitable and educational purpose of encouraging and increasing civic engagement of Hartford residents by:
1. educating youth and families about various social services and how to best access those services 2. educating residents about how government and the media work, and how to effect positive change. 3. offering opportunities to explore and engage directly in civic journalism.
We build strong communities through civic journalism with three programs: 1. The Hartford Guardian news magazine 2. Summer Journalism Institute 3. Community Conversations
