About Us

Tanisha Harris is running for State Representative because she believes the working and middle-class families of the 17th Legislative District deserve a voice and a champion in Olympia, Washington.

With everything going on nationally, it’s time to put aside extreme ideologies and talking points and focus on what matters most to us — good, safe schools for our kids, roads and infrastructure that gets us where we need to go, and an economy that works for all families.

Tanisha is a strong advocate for women’s rights, civil rights and human rights. As an elected official, she would sponsor, support and vote for legislation that protects a woman’s right to choose, access to healthcare for all families, public policy that support women in the workforce and keeps our schools and communities safe.

Tanisha spent 10 years working for the Evergreen School District in the field of multicultural and diversity education both at Heritage High School and at the District Office. Tanisha now works as a CASA Program Specialist for the YWCA Clark County, where she advocates for children in the Dependency/Foster Care system and supervises CASA volunteers.
