VISION: To follow the Biblical mandate and ministry of Jesus Christ and work towards the creation of a sustainable society which is based on social and racial justice, indigenous and rural peoples particiaption, a sound environment, economic viability, gender equity and spiritual values.

MISSION: To work in partenership with people of faith and conscience around the world to end poverty and injustice that affect rural communities.

The organization provides education for information and advocacy to US churches and community organizations on issues that affect rural communities worlwide. It also supports networks of rural community organizations in developing countries that work to address issues on injustice and impoverishment and improved quality of life. Agricultural Missions works by building the capacity of and supporting local organizations and not by sending its own personnel to work in the field. There are three progrm areas: (1)Conscisouness-Raising, Witness and Advocacy for Future Direction in Rural Mission; (2)The Rural Network Program; and (3)The Rural Sustainability Program that includes:Gender and Development; Earth Culture and Spirituality; Appropriate Technology; Social and Racial Justice; Rural Legal Assistance and Training.
