About Us

Since 1937, the Ryther League has supported Ryther through fundraising, volunteer work and financial donations. The League is comprised of individual units and members-at-large throughout the Puget Sound area. From events, creating quilts, orchestrating plant sales and providing birthday cakes, haircuts and items for the Holiday Store, each unit chooses its own way to give.

The Ryther League also operates the all volunteer run ReStyle for Ryther, a quality thrift store in old Ballard at 5435 Ballard Avenue NW. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 6pm, on Sunday noon to 4pm and is closed on Mondays. All proceeds benefit Ryther's programs.

Join an existing unit or start your own with friends, family or co-workers. Units have as few as 6 members and some as many as 40. You may also want to join as a member at large. The League is a separate 501(c)(3) organization and is run by a volunteer Executive Board. Members form friendships that span decades, as well as new relationships grounded in the desire to help improve the lives of vulnerable children and their families.
