Our mission is to redefine the experience of living with a chronic illness, ensuring that every person impacted by diabetes receives the knowledge, resources, and support necessary to lead a fulfilling and empowered life.
Living with Type 1 diabetes is a full-time job nobody asked for. At the Diabetes Network of Arizona, we don't sugarcoat it β and we don't talk to you like a pamphlet. We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built by people who actually live with T1D, and our entire mission is making sure no one in Arizona has to figure it out alone.
We serve kids, teens, families, and adults β including those experiencing financial hardship or homelessness β who are navigating the daily reality of Type 1 diabetes. Whether someone was diagnosed last week or has been managing for decades, we meet them where they are and give them what they actually need: honest education, real community, and access to supplies and resources that can make or break their health.
π‘ What We Do
Education & Workshops β Straight-talk classes and community workshops on managing blood sugar, nutrition, insulin, tech, and everything in between. No jargon. No fluff.
Youth Connect β Monthly meetups, activities, and peer-led events where kids and teens with T1D can just be themselves β surrounded by people who get it.
Type 1 Tutors / School Programβ We train school staff, help families build 504 plans, and advocate for students so they're protected and supported at school every single day.
Supply Share Program β We connect individuals and families with free or low-cost insulin, test strips, CGMs, and pump supplies when insurance gaps or emergencies strike.
Family Camp & Retreats β Year-round camps and retreats where families build confidence, friendships, and lifelong skills β in a space where diabetes is understood, not feared.
