About Us

The Alliance for Housing and Healing (formerly known as Serra Ancillary Care Corporation) dba Aid For AIDS and The Serra Project is committed to alleviating the enormous pressures of daily survival experienced by persons living with symptomatic HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles County. We are an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency founded in 1987 with the mission to provide safe and caring homes for people living with HIV/AIDS regardless of race, color, religion, marital or familial status, sexual orientation, ancestry, gender, age, national origin or ability to pay. Aid For AIDS, a leader of direct financial assistance to persons living with HIV/AIDS since 1983, joined The Serra Project to create a merged organization. The new $7.6 million dollar annual budget non-profit offers a continuum of support to the Southern California HIV/AIDS community in need of both short-term and longer-term assistance across housing (transitional/congregate living and permanent housing) and supportive services (counseling, direct financial assistance for rent, mortgage, utility and health insurance payments, food, and transportation assistance).
