Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership
(Safe Havens), a fiscally sponsored project of Third Sector New England, is a multi-religious nonprofit dedicated to ending domestic violence and elder abuse. Safe Havens provides education, resources and technical assistance to faith-based organizations and domestic and sexual violence advocates to catalyze partnerships and to create systemic change. Safe Havens’ approach to intervention and prevention prioritizes the safety of victims over any religious, political or financial interests. Because domestic violence and elder abuse cut across all boundaries of religion, age, race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexual orientation and geography, Safe Havens works with many diverse communities.
We dream of and work toward a world in which faith leaders respond compassionately and effectively to survivors of domestic violence and elder abuse. Together, we can build communities where all people are safe with faith.
