    THe Branch for Internaitonal Surgery is the global health arm of the Faculty of Medicine's surgical disciplines at Canada' University of British Columbia. It is creating a world class online graduate program in global surgery. It currently offers two courses-a general introduction to surgical care in international health and a course focussing on preventing disabling impairments--focus on Global Disability. It also promotes research and interest in global surgery.

    It is committed to advancing surgical care in international health.
