The Oakland Education Association (“OEA”) is a multi-racial union of 3,000 public school teachers and other educators in the Oakland Unified School District (“OUSD”). Our mission is to support and retain highly qualified educators and to build strong, safe, stable and racially just public schools.

In addition to negotiating, winning and enforcing strong, just employment contracts for our members, we also advocate for safe, stable, and racially just schools for our students, families and communities.
