The mission of The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is to safeguard the earth's magnificent diversity of wildlife. In natural habitats and in our own wildlife parks, through field conservation and environmental education, we uniquely combine science and passion, determination and inspiration as we work to assure the future of the natural world. We save wildlife.

Friends of the Zoo is the volunteer arm of the Education Department at the Bronx Zoo Wildlife Park. Our mandate is to educate the general public that comes to the Zoo.
