Confederation Park 55 Activity Centre

Confederation Park 55+ has served older adults in Calgary and area for over 50 years now.

Membership as of year end 2023 was 797.

The main goal of our organization is to reduce social isolation through inclusive programs that mitigate the risk factors including age, income level, loneliness (single and bereaved), poor health, transportation barriers, and language and cultural barriers.

Older adults come to Confed Park to participate in classes and activities such as art, fitness, dance and social events. We offer a program called Tea and Conversation which has been in place since 1978. This program provides entertainment, refreshments and for those needing transportation, we also provide the cabs to bring them to the centre.

Confed Park offers services to include: a tax clinic, a lawyer, a foot Dr., a Commissioner of Oaths, a second hand Boutique, a Hamper Program (free hampers to those 55+ or older needing food), housekeeping ( for low or high income) and a mobile dental hygenist.
