About Us

Discrimination in the workplace puts stress and economic burdens on nontraditional tradesworkers, amplifying already existing disparities in marginalized communities.

The Reckoning Trade Project (RTP) aims to create safer and more equitable workplaces by centering recruitment, retention, and the holistic success of nontraditional tradesworkers. We are committed to combating racism and transmisogyny in our work and seek to center the most marginalized communities, with the understanding that this trickle-up social justice approach will better the working conditions for all.

The Reckoning Trade Project is tackling this issue from all sides. We are building a community-based network of resources and support for current and aspiring tradesworkers. We also work directly with employers, policy makers, and community leaders to facilitate embracing this paradigm shift in policy and authentic culture towards more equitable and inclusive workplaces.
