<code>GenesisExodus is an organization committed to helping homeless, poor and disabled people within our community to achieve health and self sufficiency. GenesisExodus is a not-for-profit organization and believes that access to housing, employment, continuous education and good health are basic human rights. We believe that people have the right ---- and the responsibility--- to stand up and demand changes to policies which restrict or deny those rights. We advocate for change and we support people of all race, color, or creed in their individual fight for rights and social justice.</code> GenesisExodus envisions a community in which the youth are encouraged to succeed with practical life applications through our mentoring initiative known as MAG’s Harbor which targets youth who are affected by incarceration, their own or their parents. We envision a community where, with the proper facility, we are able to provide shelter, food and clothing to women and children through our initiative, Magnolia’s Shelter for women and children. We seek to provide multiple levels of outreach in the surrounding communities of the South Suburbs and stretching out to all of Chicago. Our vision is that we have an impact in the community by using the resources of the talents of people, the kindness and genuine concern of people and of course the necessary funding.
