About Us

(RED) was founded in 2006 by Bono and Bobby Shriver to get businesses and people involved in the fight against AIDS.  We're a small team in NY where everyone plays at an important role and has an impact. We're creative, entrepreneurial, love new ideas and are always thinking about how we can tap into peoples' passions to get them excited about (RED). Come join us! Oh, and lunchtimes are really important.

Based in New York, (RED) transforms the collective power of consumers into a financial force to help others in need.  (RED) engages businesses and consumers in the fight against AIDS.   (RED) partners with the world’s most iconic brands – including Apple, Starbucks and The Coca-Cola Company – who contribute up to 50% of profits from (RED) branded goods and services to the Global Fund to invest in HIV/AIDS programs in Africa.  To date, (RED) has generated over $300 million for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, to support HIV/AIDS grants in Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Zambia.  100 percent of that money goes to work on the ground – no overhead is taken.  Global Fund grants that (RED) supports have impacted more than 55 million people with prevention, treatment, counseling, HIV testing and care services.
