Are you ready to help people in your community? HOSPICE TOUCH services patients in your neighborhood. Volunteering for as little as 2 hours per week can make a difference in the life of a home bound patient. You can provide emotional and social support within your own schedule and give comfort to someone at the end of their life by reading, playing music, watching a movie or TV or sitting quietly holding someone's hand. Time commitment is what you decide you have. Volunteers visit wherever the client calls home whether it be their own home, a nursing home, board and care or an assisted living facility. Volunteers who are not interested in visiting with people can help out in our office with clerical tasks such as filing, answering phones, mailing hospice newsletters, etc. Free training, health screen, drug screen, two TB tests and a background check is provided by Hospice Touch.
