Tushita Foundation India

The Tushita Foundation is a trust intended to promote betterment in the living conditions of the less fortunate in India. It is entirely sustained by Tushita Travels, a key actor in Indian tourism. The project's inception has its roots in the realisation of the widening gap between the have and the have-nots in the country. At Tushita Travels, we feel the responsibility to contribute our knowledge, energy and resources to improve the situation. Our village community house in Amber allows us to interact with the population and try to advance their living conditions. It is our belief that given a proper education and opportunities, everyone can have a chance to succeed in a country with a developing economy. We aim to spread self-respect and confidence in the context of universal human values, irrespectively of caste or creed. Because there cannot be harmonious growth if too many people are left behind, in a small, connected world, we hope to make a difference.

The Tushita Foundation India offers 4 volunteering positions for the summer program, July 3rd to September 3rd 2014. There are NO FEES to be paid by volunteers who are offered room, board and transportation.
