    About Us

    BIPS was formed in 1989 and is the official Citizen Support Organization, CSO for 4 FL State Parks, Cayo Costa, Don Pedro, Gasparilla and Stump Pass. BIPS preserves and manages 3 historic structures, Port Boca Grande Lighthouse & Museum, Gasparilla Island Lighthouse and Amory Memorial Chapel and hosts annual educational programs and events to inspire stewardship of natural and historic treasures. BIPS has two friends groups, Friends of Cayo Costa and Friends of Stump Pass, who directly support those two parks.
