  • Mission

St Johns Housing Partnership is committed to promoting safe, decent and affordable housing in north Florida. We do this by creating links between public and private sectors on projectes that create low and moderate-income housing, rebuild neglected homes and neighborhoods, thus benefiting disadvantaged areas and enhancing community economic and social development.

    About Us

SJHP has a 3-fold approach for rehab efforts:

    • Provide direct emergency home repair and weatherization services to low-income homeowners.
    • Involve the community through volunteer recruitment, cash and material donations, and sweat equity with homeowners, when appropriate.
    • Develop partnerships with local neighborhood associations and area social service agencies to increase public awareness and to generate more referrals of those in greatest need of services.

Since 1996 the SJHP has worked to first improve owner occupied sub-standard housing, then expanded into providing financial literacy when the same households needed help managing funds and to protect these families from predatory lending. Services then expanded beyond that to construct Energy Star and green certified homes for first time homebuyers, when down payment programs were adequately funded.
