Casita Coalition

To successfully increase construction of ADUs and other forms of small infill housing, we need a State-wide, well-supported, and trusted network to advise, guide, and focus efforts to develop the necessary policies and practical tools. We need the Casita Coalition.

Working through our Board, Advisory Committee, and Working Groups, the Casita Coalition draws on the power of many minds in many fields of expertise across California. Our members work virtually and quickly on a myriad of problems facing local governments and homeowners. Because of our geographic and professional diversity, “small home” problems find their way to our network. Casita Coalition members and affiliates actively converse, brainstorm, and vet proposals; we identify innovative program design, model codes, and specific solutions; and then we share these out to our wide audience of practicing professionals across many disciplines and geographic regions so we can learn and implement quickly.

Our Coalition improves use of limited resources by developing and sharing tried-and-true policies and programs - and providing them at no cost to local officials and organizations.
