  • Mission

    Blue Heron Headwaters is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to protect the land, water, and wildlife in the headwaters region of the Clinton, Shiawassee, Huron, and Flint rivers through preservation, stewardship, and education. Our vision is to support biodiversity and the quality of life for our communities and the future generations of Oakland County and beyond.

    About Us

    The Blue Heron Headwaters Conservancy is a private, non-profit, member supported, citizen run organization with over 50 years’ experience in preserving open space in Oakland County and beyond. Over 1,400 acres have been preserved in six townships, with parcels ranging from 1/2 acre to over 100 acres.
