  • Mission

We are a diverse coalition of volunteers united to support immigrant families in Kentucky, negatively impacted by immigration issue. Our volunteer efforts focus on direct assistance, facilitating language access, and referrals to appropriate community resources and legal services as needed. CRCKY is entirely volunteer run. In 2021, our administrative costs were only 3% of our total budget: some 97% of our monies went directly to pay for client expenses. We were able to do this because we do not pay staff, and have no office. During non-Covid times, we rely on community partners to offer meeting places: during Covid, most of our client interactions taken place over been over the phone.

    About Us

CRCKY is currently assisting immigrant families who do not qualify for government assistance and have at least one household member diagnosed with Covid-19. If someone in the household tested positive for this virus, we pay rent and utilities. We also deliver food, baby supplies (diapers, wipes, and formula), and whatever else clients need to ensure they can stay at home during quarantine. CRCKY also provide such assistance for immigrants with life-threatening illnesses who do not have access to government funding. Finally, we will deliver food to any immigrant in the Lexington area who is unable to leave their home.

Since fall 2021, CRCKY has also been delivering culturally appropriate food to humanitarian parolees and Special Immigrant Visa applicants from Afghanistan. We partner with KRM to bring food to Afghans who are not co-sponsored by local institutions.
