Chinmaya Trust

Chinmaya Trust is a registered non-profit organization that is dedicated to improve the lives of transgender. It was founded by Ms. Boomika who is a transgender by self. She has been subjected to different kinds of social discrimination & torture since her 7 years of age. Such has been her pain that prompted her to fight it out and thus the 'Chinmaya Trust'. Presently, Chinmaya Trust works with more than 400 Transgender people within Virudhunagar district which is one of the most backward districts in southern India. Chinmaya trust has been implementing a variety of programs directly and in collaboration as well with similar organizations all across the state of Tamil Nadu.

Mission: Transgender communities enjoy equal opportunities and live a dignified life as empowered citizens.
