ArdenVent

We are a non-profit (about to be registered) aiming to produce a low-cost Ventilator and distribute it for a "What you see fit" price around the world to those who need it the most. Our Ventilator is different from other emergency Ventilators in that it will be controllable over the Internet, with the medical professional observing the Patient over a phone camera, thus reducing viral load on the medical professionals at the front line, enabling those of risk groups to help and allowing one doctor to have an overview over many patients.

Currently, we have created a first prototype that is not yet controllable from the distance but will act as a backup system for the case that the Ventilator Software fails. Version 1 of the software is about to go into testing. Parts cost are currently less than 80$ but are estimated to rise to 150$

The Production plan currently consists of 4 Versions which can be updated over the internet once they are ready. It is envisaged that the Ventilator will be assembled by volunteers and once enough funding is raised, parts of the workload will be outsourced to specialized companies.

Helpers of all kinds will be very soon needed, but mostly we are in immediate need of developers to help finish and test the software and begin work on Version 2 which will include features such as data gathering for scientific purposes and many more. We also need a legal expert.
