About Us

Our mission is to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship. Atlanta Angels seeks to build a more sustainable foster care community by radically supporting foster families and giving every child the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. We do this by utilizing the evidence-based Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) model, in which consistent and healthy relationships are used to heal trauma. It is our vision that every child in foster care in the metro-Atlanta area would have a healthy adult who knows the colors of their eyes and passions of their heart.

This support is provided through monthly care packages (love boxes), in which practical and thoughtful items, specific to that family's needs, are provided. These love boxes are a conduit to, and known through, the relationship built through time and energy spent with each member of the family.

In our Dare to Dream program, a youth who is at-risk of aging out of foster care, or who has aged out of foster care (aged 11+) is matched with an adult for one-one-one mentoring to build a healthy relationship as well as walk through 10 milestones that provided practical and crucial life skills.
