  • Mission

The Greater Houston Disability Chamber of Commerce is committed to supporting businesses with an interest in providing career and employment opportunities for Houstonians with disabilities. It will establish for individuals with disabilities a pipeline that will present employment opportunities and increase their independence, self-determination and inclusion within the community.

    About Us

We educate businesses about the many benefits of employing people with disabilities. We also educate them as to how to create an environment of inclusion so that everyone in their workplace can succeed. We educate and train job seekers so that they are more workplace ready. Our job seekers include: traditional job seekers, students and entrepreneurs. We serve people with all disabilities, whether those are congenital, acquired, physical or intellectual. Finally, our chamber is a pipeline which connects the job seeker to an employer who is ready to hire and work with them. In the middle of the two are resources needed to ensure success of the hire. They include: job coaches, employment service specialists, vocational and training programs, volunteer programs and internships.
